Our Process + You

1) Initial Discovery Meeting

We’ll meet for 30 minutes to discuss your current tax situation, as well as exactly what you’re looking to get out of a relationship with our firm. We’ll go over any questions or concerns you may have, and if we’re a good fit to address those items.

At the end of our discussion, we’ll send over a custom proposal based on the services discussed. Whether you choose to move forward with us or not, you’ll be able to make the decision in a pressure-free environment.

 

2) Data Collection + Analysis

Once you accept our service proposal, we’ll send over an in-depth questionnaire to collect your current and past tax information. We’ll onboard you into our software while we process and analyze your situation to determine the best mix of tax/retirement planning techniques available to you.

3) Personalized Tax Plan

After finalizing our analyses, we’ll provide a detailed tax plan document, outlining the strategies we believe will provide a benefit to you, and how to utilize them efficiently.

This documentation will be the first step to understanding how everything you’ve read in tax/financial articles up to now come together to form a cohesive picture.

4) Implementation + Ongoing Advisory

To ensure that the strategies we recommend are followed, we have three touch points throughout the year. One during tax season, one during the summer, and one around the holidays. You’ll receive a personalized video explaining your deliverables at each touch-point, going over your numbers and anticipated tax balances, estimates, and tax planning goal updates.

We believe, through this system of consistent check-ins, that you’ll be able to stay on track of everything you need to do, in order to maximize the benefit of your personalized tax plan.

Our Prep to DIY Solution for Bookkeeping and Payroll

  • First 3 Months

    In this initial period of time, we’ll be speaking on an almost weekly basis. Between setting up your books, configuring your payroll, and handling all of your tax planning items, there’s a lot to take care of!

    We’ll get your books up to date in this timeframe, provide general video education, and overall get your new S-Corp set up for your compliance-based needs.

  • Next 3 Quarters

    Now that we’ve taken care of the setup tasks and settled you into our software, it’s time for you to dip your toe in the water.

    We’ll provide a short video series showcasing exactly how we prepare your books + payroll. Through these videos, we’ll teach you how to handle these tasks yourself to the point where you never have to pay for these services again. Moving forward, we’ll review your work on an as-needed basis to ensure that it’s been handled correctly and efficiently.

  • DIY Thereafter

    We’ve been working together for roughly a year at this point, and it’s time to renew! We’ll have a discussion about your comfort level with your compliance tasks and how you’d like to handle them moving forward.

    Whether you’d like to move to full DIY, retain the review process, or move back to us preparing your books - we’ll help you transition in whatever way you prefer.
